Michal Schwarz (1979) was born in Banska Bystrica where he successfully graduated from the Faculty Of Humanity Sciences
the on University of Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica. After finishing his studies, Michal moved to Munich, where he still
lives and pursues his career as an artist. Since 2003 he redirected his attention from Abstract Art to the art with more
naive elements in his portraits, which is characteristic to his recent work. Naive elements can be mainly recognized in his
portraits of women and simple capture of the most common events from human life.

His Art Work is based on Pop Art from 60`s and 70`s, while his art transforms these elements to the present.
He often captures the most simple events in a new form, simplified and with certain ease which is characteristic of him.
Michal often uses full, vivid and cheerful colours to highlight and to complete the impression of his paintings.
In his Art Work he uses a painting technique known as "Alla Prima". Michal only uses oil paints and polymerized Linseed oil
as medium. Artist`s goal is to create a good feeling and to bring a pleasant and enjoyable experience full of happiness
and optimistic view of life.
